Reliance Power Limited disclosed the confirmation of provisional attachment of certain assets worth ₹407.60 crore by the Adjudicating Authority, PMLA, due to alleged violations of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. The company stated it would file an appeal challenging the attachment and that there is no immediate impact on its business operations.

Reliance Power disclosed that US Exim has filed an application under Section 7 of IBC, 2016, alleging a debt default of US$165.41 million by its subsidiary, Samalkot Power Limited, which Reliance Power guaranteed. The company states the matter is sub judice, with the subsidiary having already filed an application before the London Court of International Arbitration contending the debt is not due. Reliance Power plans to contest the IBC application, deeming it not legally tenable.
